November marked a significant milestone as we closed the chapter on our journey with 38th St – just in time for the holiday season, presenting the new owners with something extra special to be thankful for on Thanksgiving! The completion of this quality-built home fills us with pride, and we are confident that its new owners will truly appreciate the craftsmanship and attention to detail that went into every aspect of its creation.
We are filled with gratitude for the incredible team of individuals who played a pivotal role in turning our dream home vision into a reality and extend our deepest thanks to everyone who contributed to this project, from the architects and builders to the support staff and everyone in between. Their dedication and hard work made this dream a reality, and we couldn’t be more grateful. To the new owners, we want to express our warmest congratulations and a heartfelt welcome to their new abode. May it be a place where joy abounds, and the essence of home is truly felt!
In November, we found ourselves reflecting on the many reasons to be thankful, much of which stemmed from the dedication of our outstanding team and hardworking crews. At the beginning of the month, progress at Cheery Lynn was seamlessly underway. The month kicked off with survey work, and the placement of the four corner pins followed suit. With the pins in place, we advanced to work on the footings. There is so much anticipation leading up to this point, so it is always an exciting time and we were thrilled to get this moving along at full speed! By mid-month, the footings were laid out and dug, marking the true “start” of the build in my eyes. As the month drew to a close, the footings underwent inspection, and the construction of stem walls was in progress! Sadly, amidst the excavation process, we encountered a setback when an irrigation pipe and sewer line were inadvertently hit—OUCH! However, we promptly obtained repair parts and successfully addressed both issues within the next few days. This ensured a smooth City inspection and allowed us to resume progress with the plumbing rough-in.
Throughout the month, behind the scenes, we collaborated with our pool company to carefully plan the layout of the pool and decking. I dedicated time to designing both the interior and exterior, selecting all the finishes. Window bids were received, and I conducted a site visit to another project to explore a more cost-effective option. While being budget-conscious, I always prioritize ensuring that the quality we take pride in is never compromised.
As we look ahead to early December, we are eager for one of the most exciting days on any project—pouring our foundation!
