Hello Cheery Lynn Readers! Can you believe April is already here? It feels like just yesterday we were bundling up for the winter, now spring has sprung, and things are buzzing at the Cheery Lynn Project. Let’s dive into all the exciting happenings on-site lately!
March came in swinging with what we like to call a drywall bonanza! We were knee-deep in hanging, mudding, taping, and sanding—basically a drywall marathon. It was all hands on deck as we tackled three rounds of these steps to ensure our walls and ceilings were as smooth as butter. And let’s not forget, our painters are the ultimate judges of a job well done, spotting any imperfections as they prime and paint, ensuring everything looks absolutely perfect.
But wait, there’s more! Stucco went up, the board and batten got some love in the front, and we’re even adding painted brick near the entrance for that extra oomph. Despite the hustle and bustle, our crew has been keeping things shipshape. After all, a tidy site is a happy site!
Now, let’s talk about the pool. Ah yes, the pool! We had the big trucks rolling in, ready to dig and haul. “I like big ‘trucks’ and I cannot lie,” right? With the pool’s steel, electrical, and plumbing all good to go, it was time for the shotcrete to be poured. Cue the celebrations!
Meanwhile, our trim carpenters have been working their magic, crafting closets and pantries like the pros they are. Plus, we decided to switch things up with the exterior block wall, opting for a rich, deep gray with a hint of blue. We’re betting it’s going to make our landscaping pop!
Oh, and speaking of colors, remember those creamy doors we painted in Sherwin Williams Neutral Ground? Well, lightning struck twice! Those warm hues are making a comeback in this project too. Get ready for some serious door envy!
In other news, the primary shower pan is in and all inspections have been passed, ticking off another milestone. Now it’s full steam ahead with the tile work. We can’t stress enough the importance of having a skilled tile setter and crystal-clear communication for that flawless finish.
As we gear up for April, get ready for a whirlwind of activity. From tile work and HVAC to electrical fittings, plumbing fixtures, wood flooring, and laying roof shingles, we’ve got our work cut out for us. And let’s not forget about those landscaping plans—we’re dreaming of lush greenery and blooming flowers!
