The New Year is looking good for our project on 34th Place, with some great work outside really bringing this property to life. The exterior is freshly painted and looks quite striking if we do say so ourselves. Just look at the FRESH face on this gorgeous house! Our crew worked hard this month on grading and pool decking, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the progress. Inside, we have brown protective paper down to make sure nothing hurts our beautiful hardwood floors. The cabinets are in and looking absolutely fabulous – we can’t wait to see them with the countertops installed. Upstairs, the crew installed a special design element in the master: a custom feature wall of wainscoting! We hope the new homeowners, whomever they may be, love it as much as we do! Everything is coming together so nicely with this home, we can hardly wait to share next month’s updates!

We’ve been keeping the work rolling on 34th Street as we enter the New Year, even with some bumps along the road. Inside, we FINALLY saw our replacement tub installed (the first one came damaged), and it’s just lovely! On the downside, we had a plumbing issue in the master bath where there was only a trickle of cold water. It was painful to watch the plumbers cut into our perfect ceilings, but they needed to source the problem. Thankfully, they were able to find and correct the problem in only a few hours and with just two drywall holes! These guys are true professionals, and we don’t know what we’d do without them. The building process is never perfect or problem free, but with a good crew, things can usually be handled swiftly. Speaking of our amazing crew, George worked a full Saturday on his craft for the staircase, and did an excellent job in our opinion! The carpet for the upstairs bedrooms is in and we’re guessing there might be an arm wrestling match over which kid gets the room with the view. Downstairs, the kitchen is really coming together with the appliances in place, and we’re looking forward to getting the brown floor paper up, removing the protective film from the cabinets, and getting everything a good cleaning soon! Outside, the paving has begun, and as you can see, we’re using the same pavers for the driveway and front walk as we are for the back patio to maintain consistency in our design. We’re also thrilled to be installing more of the gorgeous white limestone on the back porch columns! We snapped some wonderful bird’s eye views (drone’s eye?) of the property this month – check them out below!

January proved to be a productive month for our project on 38th Street. We’ve been excited to get started on this one, and now that we’ve gotten going, there’s no stopping us! Time is of the essence with all of our projects, so we have to work as efficiently as possible. As such, meetings with builders, designers, surveyors, and concrete crew have already taken place so we can move this project along. This month the footings were poured and stem walls were built out, poured, and passed inspection! The underground plumbing is laid and the backfill will be completed soon. The coming months will be very busy for this project, with so many milestones in store. We can’t wait to share more with you!
